When traveling away from your country, it is essential to familiarize yourself with the laws of your destination to avoid being inconvenienced by the law enforcers. What might be legal in your area might be outlawed in another country and vice versa. While things like drug possession, poaching, and other prominent happenings get outlawed in almost all countries, some rules are not readily shared, and it is crucial to research before landing in a foreign country.
This article will discuss some interesting facts concerning different laws in different countries, which probably you didn't expect to be in place.  Here are some laws to check out when visiting different countries.

Ohio Adultery Laws

Did you know that you can get divorced just by practicing adultery in Ohio? Yes, that's right. While many people will divorce for various reasons, practicing adultery might make you lose your partner through a divorce in Ohio. While there are no adultery laws in Ohio, getting intimate with someone who is not your spouse can make the court nullify your marriage. Here, if you are the spouse who got cheated, you only need to hire a divorce lawyer to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
However, being a no-fault divorce state, Ohio doesn't require one to be at fault to initiate a divorce. You can wake up one morning and decide to divorce if you follow a proper process. However, before doing so, it's advisable to seek legal advice which will guide you through your divorce process.  With legal advice, it will be easier to take care of some issues during divorce, including dividing assets and determining custodians of the children. If you wish to learn more about US laws, there are plenty of videos and articles online for you to explore!

Venice Pigeon Feeding Law

When going on vacation, you might want to interact with the people and some friendly animals you'll meet. However, some regions don't allow befriending or feeding animals, including Venice. Venice is a city full of canals and bridges, and you will usually come across pigeons in various parts of this city. However, due to their large numbers, the pigeons have damaged deterrents and historical landmarks, and there is nothing more that can be done to control them.
Therefore one of the reasons for not feeding the pigeons is to make the birds fly away and look for their food in restaurants, dustbins, and other areas not in public spaces. As much as you want to donate to the pigeons, the law prohibits any act of feeding the birds. You might find yourself behind bars if caught doing so with heavy fines and other penalties. Therefore when you visit Venice, beware of this law and do what others do – not feeding the birds.

UAEs Public Affection Law

Dubai is one of the wealthiest and one of the most visited places in the world. Also, it is the capital city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a country that has banned public affections. Most people visit this area with their spouses for vacation or business. However, the country doesn't allow showing public affection to your spouse while in this country.  This situation is regardless of whether you are married or not, and once caught, you can easily find yourself behind bars with hefty fines or a jail term.
Therefore, when in UAEs, you only do handshakes, even if it's your better half. There is no kissing, unnecessary hugging, or any human action showing affection to the other person.  While you may hold hands with your partner, you should do it limitedly, and it's always frowned at. So, ensure you understand the rules regarding the law and the places regarded as public places to avoid breaking the law.

Barcelona Bikini Laws

You might be surprised that there is a law that governs swimwear in Barcelona. Barcelona is one of the countries with beautiful beaches and other amenities that make it one of the most preferred tourist destinations. However, despite it being one of the greatest cities, some laws govern it and among them is the law that prohibits individuals from walking with bikinis in towns or places outside the beach.
You can wear your bikini on the beach, streets near the beach, or the seafront promenade.  If you are a visitor and want to visit the beach with a bikini from your hotel, it's advisable to wear something on top that will be easier to remove once you get into the beach. Walking from your hotel to the beach with your bikini can land you behind bars with hefty penalties.
The above are some of the exciting laws belonging to different countries. Of course, there might be more laws which you need to familiarize yourself with before getting into any country. Therefore, it is essential to do adequate research on the country you are visiting to avoid spending your vacation behind bars.
