With such a captivating and unique shoreline, Santorini feels, no wonder, almost intoxicating. Ethereal and alluring, she welcomes her guests to pristine, volcanic-sand beaches, crystalline, azure waters, and some of the most heart-stopping seascapes ever seen by human eyes. With also all the best  boutique hotels in Santorini, you will feel like you're in a never ending romantic fairytale.
Each bewildering with its own atmosphere and landscape, there is definitely one speaking directly to the depths of your soul, be it a sandy, family-friendly beach or more isolated, rocky shore that it is you seek.
Certainly spoilt for choice, you are getting yourself into a challenge when it comes to deciding which beach to visit first. For those into more secluded and private stretches of volcanic sand, the following three are, hands down, exceptional!

Eros Beach – Exuding Romance From Every Volcanic Pebble

Expect a small, charming beach on the southern side of the Santorini coastline, featuring imposing white-brown rocky cliffs that have been naturally sculptured by the sea and the wind and look like melted ice-cream or wax! This unreal scenery is also home to an exotic beach bar-restaurant that blends harmoniously with the natural terrain, offering chill-out moments by the sea, either lying on comfy sofas, pampering yourself with a beach massage, or relaxing leisurely in its hammocks and swings.
Feel free to enjoy a refreshing cocktail or delicious meal with ambient music, away from the masses of the other Eros Beach cousins. Most of the time, it will be just you and a few more sun worshipers or romance seekers, who usually end up making Eros Beach their dream wedding location (now you know why!).
Tip: For more exclusivity, you could head to the unorganised part of Eros Beach and be you, your partner, and the sound of the waves splashing to the shore! And, don’t be surprised of you see carefree riders galloping on the sandy shore! Eros Beach is one of the most popular spots for horseback riding!

Koloumbos Beach – Becoming One With Mother Nature

This adorable shore on the northeastern coast of the island is said to be the most isolated one, and mostly preferred by nudists and naturalists for its profound energy, untouched natural landscape, and unbeatable vibe that brings you closer to Mother Earth. Also adorned by ravishing cliffs embracing the shore, Koloumbos provides serenity, an irresistible sense of tranquility, and zero tourist facilities. So, make sure you bring your own stuff, including water and food or snacks.
And, if you are wondering why the waters at Koloumbos Beach are significantly warmer than almost any other part of Santorini, it’s because of the underwater crater that is situated not far from the shore. In fact, it is the most active submarine crater on the island, making the waters quite hot! If you look a bit closer, you’ll also be able to see the stratifications of various geological eras that are clearly depicted in the scenographic promontory at Koloumbos Beach! Exciting, isn’t it?

Baxedes – Miles Away From Loud Crowds

Although not secluded in the typical sense of the word, Baxedes Beach does come with a sense of isolation, given that it is among the least popular shores with the young, partying crowds. Beloved by locals, especially families with children, it entices with the peace and quiet emitted from the volcanic sand beach, inviting you to leave the world behind and dive into utmost bliss and serenity! Baxedes is also a fantastic option for surfers and water sports enthusiasts.
What is also great about Baxedes is that it is close to one of the most picturesque villages in Santorini – captivating Imerovigli, with the world-class 5-star Santorini hotels featuring an impressive range of luxury facilities and amenities, and, of course, heart-stopping sunsets and views of the shimmering Mediterranean Sea.
As you go by your days at the ravishing Queen of the Cyclades and its beautiful whitewashed architecture and unique volcanic scenery, you’ll surely discover more hidden treasures tucked in remote coves and bays! Take your time and, well, enjoy!
